How To - Perform a Traceroute

A traceroute will give us detailed information about the network path you are taking to get from your computer through your ISP's network to our usenet server.

You can follow these instructions to perform a traceroute. Then send the results to us in a ticket.

  1. You can simply go to the Start Menu, click Run.
  2. Then enter 'cmd' and press enter.
  3. Then enter 'tracert news.newsgroupdirect.com' (or any other server that you're connecting to)
  4. Copy and paste the results into a ticket
